Alex & Ani

This week I went to Rhode Island to the Alex & Ani factory, to learn how to make their bangles in preparation for the upcoming "Create Your Own" event at Henri Bendel's Nov.3-9, where you can design your own expandable wire bangle.

It was such a blast, there were a ton of different beads available and they were extremely generous and let us keep a bunch of the ones we made! These are the ones I customized for myself:

Today rather than go to the DMV to exchange my license- I decided to stay home and consume copious amounts of coffee and cheese while I altered these floral grandma shorts into something I could use. Bunched the hem, took in the waist, added a zipper and a faux leather pocket (which was actually a sleeve in its first life!) It's reversible and sits about mid-waist. This is the result:

I'm thinking the general direction this blog will be going in is an outlet for fashion finds, day to day wardrobe, and fashion projects. I will also be setting up an eBay account linked to the blog where I will list some of the garments shown here for sale. Its a work in progress but I'll have to start somewhere..
